Christmas Service

Liz will love me for this one. It's a good thing we are friends!! As a last minute service project, Liz decided to make quilts for some children who are in extreme circumstances. These two quilts are what she whipped up at the last minute from her stash. Isn't she amazing!!! This is for the boy...
...and of course, the sister!!

Stephanie's Act of Love

This is only a picture of a piece of this quilt made by Stephanie Kelley as a Christmas gift for her son Jameson. She has so little time right now, this quilt truly is an act of love. It is a full size quilt and, I'm not sure if you can tell by my somewhat less than professional photo, that she only put the widest border on three sides leaving minimal borders under the pillow sham. This quilt is backed in minkee--which makes it heavenly!! ...but you better get the binding on right away Steph. I'm currently COVERED in minkee fuzz!!
Funny side note:
Stephanie and I were among friends yesterday when another friend inquired as to how my holiday quilting was coming. I played up how I had worked hard and was done except for the quilt that had just come that morning and had to be done right away. Can you believe someone would bring a quilt so late in the game and actually expect it to get finished? She was so great to feel sympathy for me and encourage me to turn people away. All the while Stephanie and I smiled and exchanged knowing glances. Thanks Kim, for being such a good sport and for caring about me. AND, in all fairness, I must add that Stephanie secured her spot in line some time ago.

Last Minute Gift

Cathy Arends fell in love with this fabric line and decided to make this quilt for her brother (??) for Christmas.

Ski Quilt

As a Christmas gift to her husband, Lisa made this ski quilt in remembrance of a vacation they took to Dubai.

Queen Size Gift

I only took a picture of the corner, but this will have a scalloped border and is an over sized queen which Cheryl Wallin will give to her parents (I think) this Christmas. At first, she wasn't sure she liked it enough to even quilt it, but adding the rick rack which acts as an inner border made all the difference!!

Young Women's Value Quilt

My mother called me as I was finishing the last value quilt to ask if I had heard that the First Presidency added another Value--Virtue (Gold). I guess this is out dated before it is even given--OOPS!! My sister, Mary Henrie, made this quilt for her daughter for Christmas.
This is my second value quilt and I am proud to report it is 100% finished!!
