Curious George

This is such a fun, playful quilt for a new grandbaby.

Dick and Jane

I love this quilt!! I love the way the light, medium, and dark fabrics are used to frame the focal images. I think the center of this quilt is especially striking.

Winning Cancer Quilt

Corner Canyon Quilters has made this quilt one of their goals to make for this year. This is among the first to be completed. I'm hoping mine will follow before too long!! This quilt was quilted as a baby quilt (ie polyester batting and looser quilting).

Bulls Eye

I love making this quilt. What a fun and comfy throw!!

More 15th Ward Quilts

These ladies from the 15th ward are completing a ton of fabulous quilts. Hooray for finished projects!! I really love the way the stars look around the outer border of these quilts.

Texas Star

The quilter who pieced this quilt describes herself as a "beginner." She did a great job on a pretty difficult quilt for a beginner AND it is a birthday gift for a friend. Hopefully, she will have one done for herself soon! I loved the way this quilted up in feathers. If you zoom in on the star, the feathers start in the middle and radiate out to each point.

WARNING: May Be Disturbing

This cute mom made this quilt out of her teenage son's t-shirts. Frankly, I found some of them disturbing!!

Springville Art Museum Entry

This is amazing enough to be the front of the quilt but this is "just" the back!!
Here is the amazing front. Not only is it striking and completely incredible--it was PERFECTLY pieced!! She is an amazingly accurate quilter with a great eye for color. What a treasure to own this tribute to President Hinckley!!
NOTE: It really makes a difference when you take a quilt top to a quilter if you take the time to stay stitch around the perimeter of the quilt to reduce stretching

Class Kit

Since many of these fabrics are animal prints, I tried to quilt this with a zebra stripe pattern.
I think it turned out really fun!!

100 Wishes

This quilt is a gift for a new baby. Each family and friend donated a square of fabric with a wish for the new baby. This quilt comes with a book explaining the thought behind each square of fabric.

Wedding Quilt

My friend made this Turning Twenties Quilt as a gift for her daughter. Her daughter picked out all the fabric and her mom did all the work. This is actually made with 30 fat quarters plus some extra borders.

15th Ward Sampler Quilt

Yeah, another finished product from a class by Vicki Lish!! I love to see all the different ways people make a quilt with the same blocks.

More Lemonade

Here's another cute lemonade quilt from the kits Corner Canyon Quilters made last year. I think this border is different from the previous photographs. What a fun combination!!

Cool Story!!

On April 3rd of this year, I posted a quilt made by a Young Women's group for a former member of their group who was undergoing treatment for cancer. At the time, the cancer had spread and the girl was fighting with all she had. I have always wondered what happened to her and today I got news....

Her cancer, by some miracle, is in remission and she was able to participate in the Make a Wish Foundation. Her wish was to go to the set while they were filming Twilight. Not only did she get to hang out on the set, but they put her in the movie!!! She is the prom queen during the Prom scene. Now, I'm even more excited to see the movie. My girls all want to go to the midnight or 12:01 showing, so let me know if you'd like to join us!!

Hooray that modern medicine has given this fabulous girl another chance at life!!

Incredible Baby Quilts!!

This fish quilt was made by a Grandmother for a baby who is moving away soon. She always has me quilt "Grammy loves you" somewhere in the quilt.
Another Grandmother made this quilt for her granddaughter Olivia. I really love this pattern and thought it was especially perfect for this fabric!!

The mother who made this masterpiece is due in two weeks. It is such a unique and beautiful quilt--not to mention the fact that it is perfectly pieced!! This was fun to quilt
