Inspiration
I wish I were more computer literate, but if you are really interested, you'll just have to scroll up and down, since I don't know how to make them side by side. On March 30, I posted some pictures of quilts my sister and I designed for Sharon Reynolds new line. The most frequent question people ask me is where I get my ideas. I always start with an idea from somewhere and modify the idea so it is original. The quilt above was on the cover of a magazine and caught my eye. I modified the block by making the center piece a solid square instead of a square in a square and I made two different color combinations instead of having the whole quilt scrappy. Then, I set it on point and used solid corner posts.Saturday, April 5, 2008

Yellow Brick Road
I think this pattern is a great one for putting together a great quilt quickly. I quilt quite a few of them every year. Here are a few pictures of ones I quilted last year. They can be so different!!
This quilt was a gift to a man fighting stage 4 lung cancer. He lost his fight.

What a fun twist to add a little sashing!
This was such a cute cowboy line!!
